There are many occasions when you may want to use surveys in Quick Base as opposed to using popular third parties such as Survey Monkey, Typeform, and Survey Planet.
The beauty of Quick Base when it comes to creating surveys is that you have the power to create the look and feel of your survey by tailoring it specifically to your audience, unlike some third-party applications where you are bounded by their format. Whether that be to use custom script and HTML to convey a unique survey feel and flow, or embedding links to reports or videos to be more informational in your surveys. The way you can use surveys in Quick Base is limitless.
Quick Base has an awesome feature known as Everyone on the Internet user profile feature. Think of it as a portal for your users or customers to deliver information directly to your internal office. You don't have to purchase additional licenses to have these individuals interact with Quick Base to obtain the information you seek.
Navigate to Users and select + Share app with new user.
Look for Everyone on the Internet or select it using the Address Book icon. If you do not see this option then it has not been enabled by your Billing Account Administrator.
Next, select the role you would like to assign and Add.
Then, you will want to create the Survey Form on the desired table. You may already have one that is used for a particular role on this table, but you will need to create another and set it as the form for the Everyone on the Internet Role.
Once your survey form is created and has been set for the new role, the URL link for the survey form can be shared with anyone.
In addition to using the Everyone on the Internet profile feature for surveys, here are some other use cases:
Returning Project Results to your clients with a unique web link
Maybe you have a client or company that runs tests (e.g. outdoor air quality, water table tests, aptitude tests, etc.) you can provide a unique link to the results within your Quick Base application. The recipient can review their test results as long as they have the link. On the back-end, you can relate their test results to a customer or an individual's record.
Customer Support Requests
Give individuals a link to support requests from inside Quick Base. Turn your Quick Base application into a support application.
Submitting Work Orders
Want customers to submit a work order? When they include their email address on the work order you can send them an email with a link to their order so they can track the progress or if they want, provide additional information.
Request for Quote
From a company website, you can direct the "Request a Quote" link to a form in Quick Base to have your leads submit their information directly into Quick Base. Inside your Quick Base application, you can track the lead through the sales lifecycle as well as track your sales team's response time.
Although Quick Base is amazing for surveys, there are some features in SurveyMonkey that Quick Base cannot do such as Ranking Question Type and Setting a Quota. However, you can sync your SurveyMonkey Data. To learn how to sync your Survey Monkey Data, click here.
